Accordion pedagogue

Sirkka Kelopuro begann her teaching carreer at a summer camp in Lapinlahti 1973. She has been teaching children, youth and grown-up people ever since at many schools, for example Helsinki Conservatory from 1981 to 2001 and Helsinki Polytechnic from 2001 to 2007. From 2013  to 2017 she was a teacher in Vantaa Music Institute and after that in Mäntsälä, Porvoonseudun musiikkiopisto.


Sirkka Kelopuro was leading the Accordion Teachers Association in Finland from 1982 to 1986. She received  a silver medaille of the Conservatory Association in Finland in 2002.
